For this reason, we at St John's would like to provide you with as much support as possible. On this page you will be able to find resources, guides and general help to support you.

If you wish to contact your child's Pastoral Team, for additional support, you can email the address included below, including your child's name and their Year Group, and you will be passed on to the relevant parties.

          Learning Resources

If you child is struggling with any of their learning at home, it can often be difficult to help or even know where to start when looking for learning resources. Included below are a series of links that we as a school believe can be very helpful for you when it comes to supporting your children at home.

Don't let the name Teaching Resources put you off. This website is excellent for parents too! It has a wide range of resources, helpfully divided into subject and age groups, to help you help your children, wherever they may be struggling.
EdPlace is an incredible resource centre, and provides a wide range of revision and learning support, from Year 1 all the way up to GCSE - so you can even use it to help any younger children that you may have. They are also offering 5 free months to parents who sign up!
The MET Office also provides resources that will be useful when supporting your children from home. It is a bit more bespoke than the other two, but the content is first rate!
First News, the UK’s only newspaper for young people, covers UK and worldwide stories every week. Alongside it, print and digital learning tools deliver pre-prepared, weekly reading activities for KS3 and KS2, to support teachers in developing pupils' essential skills following the move into secondary school and in the lead up to crucial exams.
